So, I’m playing around with GIMP, a free downloadable photo-editing and design program, to work on my very first logo design client. I’m super inspired to make my mom’s great idea into a digital design.
My mom woke up one morning and drew on a pad her idea for a logo and sent it to her developers to make it digital. And, she just woke up today with another cool idea. However, I’m determined to do this one myself.
I don’t want to be biased, but I’ve always loved my moms’ ideas, and fortunately so do all of her clients…so, I want my clients to feel the same way too.
So for my research and inspiration, I found this great collage of the Best Logos ever!
They’re all so simple, that’s why they’re so great and easy to remember.
Mobil, Walmart & Dell jumped out at me right when we opened this collage. Mobil jumped out for my mom…Very interesting, huh? So, which one(s) jumped out at you?
Did you notice they were all blue too?
Only PBS has 2 colors…But, did you know that blues on white sell the most online? I’m sure you know that ‘red’ draws your eyes to “buy” more too. No wonder, reds are often used as headlines…right?
So I’m curious, what colors draw your attention? What are your favorite logos of all time? Are you an adult or kid? What draws your kids eyes? Don’t you just love our logo? The designers of my mom’s blog did ours too…and call us kids, but we’re partial…and trying colors! What do you think? Please let us know.

Assalamu alaikum ZuZu!
I’m glad your starting to use gimp, or did you already use it? Anyway, I think I like FedEx one the best because you can see a little arrow in between the Ex,Can you spot it?
Well I’ll see you round inshallah!
Wassalamu alaikum!

Yeah, I can see the arrow! My aunt sent us an email of hidden “things” in logos…they weren’t that hard to find, at all! That would make a fun post, though!
Thanks for letting me know about GIMP, look what I’ve made with it: http://pinterest.com/kidbloggersclub/our-digital-designs/
Most of them were created with GIMP, but some with other programs…but they’re all free!
To more kids blogging!
