How to Add a Post to a WordPress Blog

  • Under “Posts” (in the left column) click “Add New”.
  • TYPE NOW in the “Visual” Window.
  • Always click “Save Draft” in the “Publish” window (in the right column).

Extra Steps for SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

  • Choose a “Category” and “Sub-category” (in the right column)
  • Use the “All in one SEO Pack” window all the way down the page.
  1. Copy the title of your article. ["Ctrl" + "C" to copy and "Ctrl"+"V" to paste]
  2. Description: Maybe the first couple of sentences. Keep letter range to 150 – 160 words.
  3. Write keywords. Words that should bring people to this page/post. Separate with commas.
  4. “Ctrl”+”C” (copy) your Keywords and “Ctrl”+”V” (paste) to the “Post Tags” window (in the right column).
  • Under “Save Draft” change to “Pending Review” or “Publish”. Click OK.
